| yet again i went on a field trip last thursday. this time for science. we went to the va air and space museum and saw an imax movie about roller costers and all things (all things) related to the subject. it was pretty cool to watch because some of the movie was them demonstrating what a virtual roller coaster was like. after that was over the rest of the trip was lame. there was absolutely nothing to actually do and we had to follow this old guy around the whole time that explained stange useless knowlege on stuff like what the wright brothers' plane was made of and "o, that's mars". at least is sucked up a day of school.
my mom told me she got me a tutor for math yesterday and i almost blew up, i was so mad. but i guess there is just a little something wrong if i get a C in math and As in everything else. but seriously, sejin and i sit in class well our mouths hung open (usually me more than him) and we swear the math teacher is make up more than half of this on the spot. man! when will i wake from this nightmare that haunts me so!
well there is one up side to this all: winter break! 2 weeks off of school-awesome. sleeping in, no homework, computer/tv all day for 2 weeks=paradise.

| last thursday i went on a drama field trip to i think norfolk to see a christmas carol by the virginia stage company which was actually a very good play and i loved the way the play was set up and done. the set was exactly the same through the whole play (wish the exception of some props being moved around). this sounds kind of wierd but everything was explained almost like you were reading a book because just about every character was also narrating the play. it was a very creative and refreshing play to watch.
my only real complaint was the ghost of christmas past. now the cast was pretty small and every character (with the exception of scrooge) played maybe 5 or 6 small parts. it just so happens they have the 26 year old midget that played tiny tim (and really truly looked like a kid. i didnt know he was that old till the drama teacher informed us of this) and was very good, but that person also played the ghost of christmas past. let me start this off by saying that the costume was horrible. IT WAS A HOODIE FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD! the midget guy was just wearing a zipped (you could see the zipper) hoody and a baseball cap under it on his head probably to look like a sort of grim reaper-hooded thing (which didnt work).
there was also this cool asian guy by the name of christian young who, along with most of the rest of the cast, played multiple parts. one of which was cratchit's daughter, which raked in a few laughs in his bow and dress.
man this brings me to one point which really really annoyed me during the play: we were a horrible audience. now, not we as in me too. i tryied to keep my talking down to a couple whispering"hey look at that"-s and stuff like that to my friend. but there were like elementry schoolers there and 2 of them actually got expelled from school because they threw something off the balcony. there was this one time in the play when an actor got behind a clock and started doing that suction thing with ur tongue that kinda sounds like a clock ticking and tocking to do just that-make the clock sounds when a huge amount of kids started doing the same thing until enough teachers were able to quiet them down.
all in all i enjoyed the play. the virginia stage co. is very cool and maintane their own sence of origionality in even really old plays.
o yeah and the bus ride was about 2 hours to get there and probably 2 hours to get back and i had gotten my hands on my friend's mp3 player (he let me borrow it)and i just listened to that the whole time. the whole way back i listened to rammstein-german rock ( O.o ) which was curiously on is mp3 player.

| o my! i must have forgotten to post about the...interesting spanish field trip i went on last friday. it was gay. ok first we spent like 2 hours i think on the bus watching incredibly stupid spanish comercials. luckely i had my cd player and a jaewoo. i just listened to jaewoo's cds and ate his food the whole way there. then once we were driving around richmond for about 20 minutes we got to some jewish mall type thing and after 10 minutes of sitting outside of that place in the bus they decided it wasnt the right place(...?) and went to the real place. once we got there we had missed over half of it (the spanish field trip was to go see a spanish ballet). when we got in there was these 2 wierd guys playing these wierd instroments and singing, then this like skinny dude came out and did some fancy movies and for some reason just about all the girls in the whole auditorium went like "WWOOOAAAAA" ...probably some way of saying either get off the stage or that they liked his "performance".
then this very large man got on the stage and did moves very much like the skinny dude. and as much as we hate to admit it, this large man it probably more limber than a lot of the kids in that auditorium would ever hope to be.
i also stayed after school today for math, which wasnt too bad because all we did was sit there for an hour and talk. the teacher didnt even hardly talk, only to people who actually asked questions and stuff. well..yeah, that's about it.
